The remake of Clash of the Titans was a bit of a disaster, it didn’t perform as well as expected at the cinema, and the reviews were not exactly brilliant. It was an ok film, well made and the effects were aweseome and with the build-up of seeing a new and improved Kraken almost too much to contain for me, i was not disappointed. So, you can imagine that the news of a follow up doesn’t exactly fill me with dread, but it doesn’t get me all that excited either. If the Kraken were to return however, then it would be a different story!

Judging by what i have read about the plot, it is not looking promising at another Kraken being in the film, but who knows. Anyway, here is the plot: it is ten years after the events of the first movie, with Perseus (a returning Sam Worthington) wanting nothing to do with fighting and adventure, and is happy to live out his days as a fisherman with his son Hellus. Events occur that will force Perseus back into fighting as problems break out between the weakening Gods and the imprisoned Titans. The leader of the imprisoned Titans is Kronos, father to Liam Neeson’s Zeus, Ralph Fiennes’ Hades and Danny Huston’s Poseidon, who all return by the way!

Ares is son to both Hades and Zeus and has decided to switch sides and join with Kronos and they devise a plan to imprison Zeus. With the threat growing more and more dangerous, Pereus must come out of retirement and fight for the greater good! He calls on help from Andromeda (Rosamund Pike), Poseidon’s boy Argenor (Toby Kebbell) and also of Hephaestus, who is played by Bill Nighy, one of the big talking points to his film right now. They all have to then head off to the underworld to rescue Zeus.

Battle L.A’s Jonathan Liebsman will be directing and it has allready started!

Matt WavishA keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.

  1. O No!!!! Can’t say I’m looking forward to this at all, as I hated the first movie with a passion, and the Battle LA director is making it. Interesting plot though, seems like it’s borrowing more from the Hercules story than the Perseus story [sorry, still remember my Greek Mythology!].
