I think it’s fair to say Scream 4 was a bit of a disaster at the cinema. I went to see it, didn’t buy into it at all, and the planned revitalisation of the Scream franchise just didn’t happen. The horror event of the year just never was, there was not the buzz in the cinema that was generated by the first. Insidious on the other hand, did get it right. Anyway, Scream 4 is about to be released on DVD and Bluray here in the UK, August 8th to be precise, however in the US I imagine it is sooner, so it would seem that Dimension films felt now was the time to release some behind the scene’s pictures, as well as a death scene not witnessed in the film.

Please, enjoy the gallery, I particularly like the image of the three of them on their mobile phones, possibly tweeting “this is a disaster!”. Anyway, seeing the fun involved in making the film reminds me of what the original film was all about, fun, something that was sadly missing from Scream 4. I hate to say this, but do you reckon the image of Craven behind the police lines is of him attempting to get involved with Scream 5 and the studios are trying to keep him out? (sorry)

Looking at those reminded me how much I enjoyed it. I can’t believe the critical panning it got, when it’s one of the most exciting films of the last few years! Can’t wait for the DVD. And part 5.

    Well another man’s opinion……. :-D

Scre4m was only a disaster at America…it done really well everywhere else.

Wes Craven and Kevin Willamson are signed up for a 5th….

There was a buzz around at the cinema…..the 4th has been well recieved with fans of the trilogy and it as been critically better recieved than Insidious would you believe….

Overall takings show Scre4m for beat Insidious even though the low budget of Insidious meant an incrediable tur over of profit that Scre4m could not cope with….

I really believe that Scre4m will make more money on DVD..Insidious is a once in a thrill watch, once you seen it the scares are gone, Scre4m has a huge fan base and the franchise has always made its money on home sales……

To say it was a massive disappointment actually disappoints me, it really was not, and I will defend this movie to a hilt! The cinema I went too was packed to the hilt and the atmosphere was like it was way back in 1996……

In fact Scre4m shows more creative vision in its opening 15 minutes than Insidious does with its very lame and dull Poltergiest and Elm St rip off finale  :-P :-D

Listen to old Hughsey defending his beloved Scre4m. Ah mate, this is the one film I think we’ll never agree on me old cocker, but if we all agreed on everything, this would be a boring old world. Down with Scre4m, up with Insidious!!! :)
