Alma (2009)

Director: Rodrigo Blaas

Writer: Rodrigo Blaas

Rodrigo Blaas has spent his career working for Pixar. He has worked on the animation department with Pixar since Finding Nemo in 2003, he has since worked on such classics as Wall-E, Ratatouille, The Incredibles and Up. You can certainly see that talent shine through in his 2009 short film Alma, which you can view below. Blaas is branching out on his own, and he has a brand new short film due soon called La Luna. However, Alma has really caught me eye, it is fair to say I love it!

Synopsis:

Alma, a little girl, skips through the snow covered streets of a small town. Her attention is caught by a strange doll in an antique toy shop window. Fascinated, Alma decides to enter.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
