EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED AND IS RETURNING 2013

Suspiria UK is Derby’s own Horror, Sci-Fi and Fantasy convention which will be held for the first time next September.

Held at Derby Conference Centre, Suspiria serves as both an industry networking event and a chance for fans of the genres to get together, meet some of the creative talents in the field and generally spend a day making friends and enjoying themselves. There are also many chances for the fans to join in first hand with such demonstrations as life casting, plus competitions for creative writing and film making.

The event will be over 2 days – Friday 28th to Saturday 29th September 2012 – and is open to all ages, although some areas in the convention may be restricted to over 18’s.

Apart from a host of stars, including the already confirmed Terry Molloy (Dr Who), Willie Coppen (Return of the Jedi), Dawn Lyn (Devil Times Five) and zombie novelist, Adam Millard, the convention will feature traders who deal with movies, music, comics, trading cards and other fantasy and gruesome goodies.

A diverse range of films will be shown over the weekend including Blade Runner, Big Tits Zombie and Suspiria on the Friday night and Logans Run on the Saturday (with more film TBC). Film-makers who are keen for their work to be shown at the convention can submit their work here.

Two types of ticket are currently on sale.
Golden Tickets are £50 each and give you entry to both days of the  event, one personal item signed by Willie Coppen, worth £5, one signed photo for free from any one of the named guests, worth £10 each, one free photo shoot with any one of the named guests, worth £15 each plus access to all the movies being show on the day for free, worth £30.
Standard Tickets are £10 each and give you entry to the event on ever Friday or Saturday, plus one personal item sighed by Willie Coppen, worth £5 each
Both types of ticket can be bought over at the Suspiria website

Throughout the event, The Heroes Alliance Zombies will be roaming the convention floors looking for fresh victims!

HorrorCultFilms will keep you posted on updates to the convention but if you’d like to check out more info, visit http://suspiria-uk.net

    • I’m afraid the Suspiria UK convention has been cancelled due to reasons beyond the organisers control. The convention is set to return in 2013 in Burton.

      • Can you tell what date next year it is returning? Will it be the same sort of weekned as the cancelled event? Is it still going on in Burton?

  2. Do you have any updates to when and where the 2013 event shall be? :)

    • The convention is set to return in 2013 in Burton. I guess maybe around the Autumn time but as soon as we know, we’ll update this article and post a new one also.
