Impressive trailer lands for Daniel DelPurgatorio’s short horror film ‘Other’

Short films are usually the basis for something new, fresh and interesting and with such a brief running time it gives directors the chance to get right to the point without any meaningless dribble. A new trailer landed today for a short film which appears to be everything short films should be, and that film is called Other. It is directed by Daniel DelPurgatorio, the fella who directed the Watchmen spin-off Tales of the Black Freighter.

Others looks very grim indeed, with bizarre experiments taking place, and the wonderful trailer really conjures up a sense of dread with the horrific kind of giggling in the background and the strong images on screen. The short film makes it’s world premier in Chicago in Chi-Town on Thursday 15th December at 7pm at the Den Theatre, the entire cast and crew will be on hand for the free first come, first served event. The short film will then more than likely make its way online at some point later next year, and we will be sure to keep an eye out for it.

Synopsis:

Patrick is a brilliant doctor, in an obsessive race to alter his own grim prognosis. During a series of unconventional experiments, he discovers a scientific loophole unlike anything he had ever imagined. In pursuit of this dark prize, Patrick will risk everything to ensure he sees his experiment to the end…even if it means accepting the sinister results.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
