Shoreline Scripts is the only active standalone screenwriting competition in the UK. They have created not only a competition with awards, but a platform to help get great scripts from around the world into the hands of the producers and companies that have the means to get them made. For all you budding screenwriters, Shoreline Scripts have now launched their 2012 competition to win some amazing prizes!
This is your chance to have your work assessed by the best judges of any screenwriting competition out there. They’ve been: Oscar, Cannes Palme d’Or and BAFTA nominated.
The judges include Christopher Figg (produced on Hellraiser, Dog Soldiers, We Need To Talk About Kevin), Jeffrey Caine (wrote The Constant Gardener, Goldeneye, Inside I’m Dancing), Toni Grisoni (writer of Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas, Tideland, The Red Riding Trilogy), Andras Hamori (produced Crash, Existenz, The Sweet Hereafter), Ray Lawrence (writer/director Bliss, Jindabyne, Lantana) and James Simpson (producer of Beowulf and Grendel, Head in the Clouds, The Merchant of Venice).

First Prize: £2500
Second Prize: £500
Third Prize: £250

The competition is open now and all age groups may enter.
Early Deadline is 18th April 2012 and the cost to submit your script is £25
Late Deadline is 18th May 2012 and the cost to submit your script is £35
