Matthew Vaughn to direct ‘X-Men’ sequel

Matthew Vaughn, the genius director behind Layer Cake and Kick Ass has just signed a deal with Fox to direct a sequel to his X-Men reboot, X-Men: First Class.

This is great news because X-Men: First Class, in my humble opinion, was superb. Granted the film did not light up the box office after such glowing reviews, but damn it was a terrific film.

All that is known so far is that Bryan Singer will be producing and Simon Kinberg (X-Men: First Class, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter) is writing the script. So far there is no news of a plot or even any cast names, but with Vaughn back in the director’s chair, I am sure this will turn out to be very impressive.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn’t necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i’m a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn’t bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
