Haunting new trailer arrives for Eduardo Sanchez’ genre defining horror ‘Lovely Molly’

Eduardo Sanchez, one half of the duo behind the classic found footage horror, The Blair Witch Project, is a very busy man right now. Since Blair Witch the director has given us some straight to DVD gems like Altered and Seventh Moon, however this year is turning out to be his busiest yet.

Currently the director is promoting his new film, Lovely Molly, a film we at HCF are very excited about seeing. I have been following this film since it was announced last year, and having already shared the first trailer and a new poster, I am extremely happy to be sharing this brand new trailer ahead of its 18th May release in the US. Not only is Sanchez looking forward to a successful release of Lovely Molly, but the director is now working on a new film called ‘Exists’, a found footage horror based on the legend of Bigfoot! More on that film as it happens.

Written and directed by Sanchez, Lovely Molly stars Gretchen Lodge as Molly, alongside Johnny Lewis, Alexandra Holden, Ken Arnold and Brandon Thane Wilson. Check out our previous stories here

Synopsis:

When newlywed Molly Reynolds (Lodge) returns to her long-abandoned family home, reminders of a nightmarish childhood begin seeping into her new life. A malevolent force, whether her own haunted past or some supernatural ‘thing,’ tirelessly seeks to overwhelm her. Alone and isolated in a centuries-old manor, she soon begins an inexorable descent into depravity. Somewhere in the house, in the terrible space between psychosis and possession, lies an evil that will pull Molly and all those around her into darkness and death.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
