TRUE BLOOD: Episode 7 and 8 Reviews

I apologise for the lack of review last week so here is two in one….

Episode 7: Cold Grey Light Of Dawn

So the bitch is in town. Watch out Vamps! After a few weeks of build up, Marnie is finally overcome by past witch Antonia and she is a mission to burn all Vamps in daylight. How? by casting a spell so they can walk in daylight, oh shit….and Bill is a worried man. So worried in fact that he is chaining himself and all those he love in silver so they will burn if they try to rise. A twisted idea but it sort of works, the trouble is there are some that are just not listening and so we get scenes of the spell taking effect and killing those who decide for a mid day walk.

Of course you would think that Eric would be worried but damn, he is way too busy shagging the brains our of Sookie in every single opportunity. Seriously its always nice to see Sookie get her baps out because to be fair Anna has a nice figure but all this episode showed was these two doing every position you could imagine it was like the Karma Sutra of True Blood and it was quite an eyeful and I was glad that this episode was not filmed in 3D!

What with Bill now knowing that his love is having sex with his evil best mate, he seemed rather calm about it all but then he did have a heart to heart with his adopted daughter Jessica who by the way I am seriously beginning to have a bad crush on. This was a touching moment in which they realised that they do have a kind of father and daughter relationship and it was more brutal by the fact that Jessica managed to escape from the silver chains and head off to catch a suntan. The episode ended in this cliff hanger but with Jason on his way to save her, I very much doubt that the next time we see Jessica she will be burning to a crisp.

In other parts of Bon Temps, Arlene’s baby’s seems to have a nanny from the undead looking after him. Laf who is now some of medium, sees this figure and well does nothing but freak, this storyline is coming along nicely only because I have no idea where this is going.

Relentless pace and gripping stories…I was a miserable bastard last week when I wrote the review, yes I do think the Jason rape storyline was pointless and just there for shock value, but I re-watched it and I thought, “I was way off base!”…so I apologise for my grumpy mood and just say, this season is the show reaching its peak. In one word its “Awesome!”

Episode 8: Spellbound!

Yay!

Good old Jason, in a slow mo fashion like it was born out of a John Woo film, he leaped from the sunlight and saved Jessica from the frying pan. Well done mate and I was a relived man because lets be honest, my ever-growing love for Jess is so strong that if she died then I would have probably stopped watching forever.

So Antonia’s grand plan sort of worked. She killed many Vamps but not those who are in the show. Eric survived and then shagged Sookie some more. I do not think I have ever seen Sookie be naked so much, its a joy and one I can not gripe over, but its time for Eric to put his dick away and try to get his memory back. Now I like new Eric but its time to see some of the old resurface, I mean would the old version say words like “Lets make love!”…no he would say “Lets fuck and get it on bitch!” because its a bit grating seeing them two having sex again on a bed in the middle of a forest!

But apart from Eric turning into a pussy, but then most men would if it meant getting on Sookie, the rest of Bon Temps is going crazy. Ghost nanny is still babysitting the baby and now has possessed poor Laf for reasons that are still not clear, while Jessica dumped Hoyt because of her feelings towards Jason and then killed him in cold blood. Now before every fan jumped up in shock, we sort of knew it was all a dream but then she dumped him anyway but without the kill part. Does this set up Jason and Jessica storyline….?

What else? Deep breath……

Tommy shift changed again into the body of Maxine and sold her house, Alcide met up with some Werewolves and was told he had some Alpha in him (just glad it was not Eric) much to the delight of girlfriend Debbie, but then ruined it all by pissing off his girlfriend by runing to help Sookie again. Bad Marcus is actually the father of the daughter of girlfriend’s Sam…which links the storylines…..Jason is doing press up’s a lot to hold in his sexual frustrationn and……phew so much I am out of breath.

The episode ended with a final showdown between Vamps and Witches in a Return Of A Living Dead style graveyard. Bill saved Tara’s life for some reason not quite known yet, Eric became a lapdog to Antonia by kneeing down and going all gooey…….while shock horror Sookie got shot in the stomach and started to bleed thanks to the hole in the stomach.

Lets hope Eric does not see the hole, the way he is going he probably want’s to use his dick and fill it!
