Grimm Up North’s ‘Grimmfest Film Festival 2012’ announces dates, plus some brand new special events!

Those lovely people in charge at Grimm Up North have set the dates for their Grimmfest Film Festival, and have also added a number of special events in the upcoming months. Read on for all the information you need:

A jam-packed weekend with as many great movies as we can squeeze in! As usual (this is our fourth year), we’ll be hosting UK and regional movie premieres alongside cult classics. We’ll be welcoming a whole bunch of brilliant guests from movie directors/producers and crafts people to actors and celebrities. Horror and genre novelists, illustrators, artists, and practitioners will also be joining us to celebrate all things horror and fantasy.

This will undoubtedly be the biggest and best year yet. If you love to see new movies before everyone else and you love horror, fantasy, and cult films, you’d be a fool to miss it!

But that’s not all on Grimm Up North’s plate. On Thursday, June 21st, they’re hosting ASIAN EXTREME NIGHT – A night of Japanese movie mayhem featuring Battle Royale and Tokyo Gore Police. Then on Thursday, July 19th, it’s VAMPIRE NIGHT – As part of the Manchester Fringe Festival, enjoy a special night of vampire movies. If you enjoyed Zombie Night in April, you’ll love this one!

Stay up-to-date on all the latest via the official Grimm Up North website, befriend them onFacebook, and of course, follow them on Twitter. Get info on the Dancehouse Theatre here.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
