LATEST FILM NEWS: Stakeland director’s next films move forward….details here!





 

Some news on the new projects by Stakeland director Jim Mickle.

First up is the film which is being described as in the vein of A History Of Violence is the nicely titled Cold In July. The movie which is an adaption of the book by Joe R. Landsdale is expected to start pre production soon while the second film is Night Hunter, a film which was written by Mickle himself alongside his regular partner Nick Damici.

Both films will be made with the help of Wild Side Films and Memento Films who have teamed up with Wild Side agreeing to distribute the film in France and Memento wll do the the international.

I’m beyond thrilled to bring Joe Lansdale back to the big screen, (and I’ve) waited most of my life to make a wild movie like ‘Night Hunter,’Mickle said.
