Earlier this week, Hodder & Stoughton revealed the UK cover of Days of Blood and Starlight. Days of Blood and Starlight is the incredible sequel to Laini Taylor’s Daughter of Smoke and Bone which saw a paperback release in July this year and will soon be made into a feature length film after Universal Pictures acquired the rights to the novel after a hotly contested auction. The hardback edition of Days of Blood and Starlight will be released in all good book stores on 8th November in the UK. An e-book edition of the sequel will also be released on the same day.

Once upon a time, an angel and a devil fell in love and dared to imagine a new way of living – one without massacres and torn throats and bonfires of the fallen, without revenants or bastard armies or children ripped from their mothers’ arms to take their turn in the killing and dying.

Once, the lovers lay entwined in the moon’s secret temple and dreamed of a world that was like a jewel-box without a jewel – a paradise waiting for them to find it and fill it with their happiness.

This was not that world.

BatWhilst I love prosthetic effects, stop-motion animation and gore, nothing can beat a good story! I adore B-movies and exploitation films in many of their guises and also have a soft spot for creature features. I review a wide range of media including movies, TV series, books and videogames. I'm a massive fan of author Hunter S. Thompson and I enjoy various genre of videogames with Kingdom Hearts and Harvest Moon two of my all time favs. I don't do 3D movies so put the red and green spex away!
