We reported on Antonio Trashorras’ (writer of The Devil’s Backbone) Giallo influenced horror, Blind Alley, last year. The initial idea was that the film was heavily influenced by the work of the great Mario Bava, and that this was Trashorras’ homage to the genius Italian director. However, watching the first trailer for the film I am a little confused, by excited all the same.
I was expecting a slow, menacing trailer with some neat camera trickery and some unsettling imagery, but instead we get an all out gore fest complete with melting faces, vampires and hideous creatures! Insane, and with a truly gorgeous female lead, Blind Alley on first impressions looks like a hell of a lot of fun!
Written and directed by Antonio Trashorra, Blind Alley stars Leonor Varela, Ana de Armas, Jeff Gum and Diego Cadavid.
In a tiny laundrette hidden down an alleyway, Rosa finds herself trapped, completely isolated and unable to escape the nightmarish situation of being attacked by a serial killer. At the break of dawn and after hours of anguish, immersed in the sadistic game of rat and mouse the killer has subjected her to, the young girl will discover something even more disturbing about the nature of her aggressor.
