Marvel have just released a truly breathtaking new trailer for director Alan Taylor’s Thor: The Dark World. The trailer is awesome, thrilling and actually quite tense. It also very much lives up to its name of “Dark World” as things appear to be turning quite menacing here.

Loki (Tom Hiddleston) steals a number of scenes here, especially when he reacts to a slap from Jane Foster (Natalie Portman). Thor (Chris Hemsworth) also has plenty of big moments here, including a hilarious face off at the end of the trailer. I am completely sold on this!

Directed by Alan Taylor (Game of Thrones), the sequel will see Thor (Chris Hemsworth) battling against the villainous dark elf Malekith The Accured (Christopher Eccleston).

The film also also stars Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Tadanobu Asano, Jaimie Alexander, Rene Russo, and Anthony Hopkins.

Thor: The Dark World is due for release on 8th November 2013

Synopsis:

Marvels “Thor: The Dark World” continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvels “Thor” and “Marvels The Avengers,” Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
