Thor: The Dark World is looking to be a great film in my opinion, and while this year has been all about Iron Man 3 at Marvel, I reckon the Thor sequel will be a much better film. It is doubtful it will perform as well as Iron Man 3 at the box office, but Thor: The Dark World looks awesome.

The first extended TV spot for the Alan Taylor directed sequel has just landed, and while there doesn’t appear to be any new footage to enjoy, it does show the best bits from the full length trailer, and serves as a nice reminder of how much fun this film appears to be. You will find the TV spot embedded below.

Directed by Alan Taylor (Game of Thrones), the sequel will see Thor (Chris Hemsworth) battling against the villainous dark elf Malekith The Accured (Christopher Eccleston).

The film also also stars Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Tadanobu Asano, Jaimie Alexander, Rene Russo, and Anthony Hopkins.

Thor: The Dark World is due for release on 30th October 2013

Synopsis:

Marvels “Thor: The Dark World” continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvels “Thor” and “Marvels The Avengers,” Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
