This weeks Nintendo eShop releases are some what modest compared to recent releases, but what they lack in quantity, they more than make up for in quality.
Two releases hit the Wii U this week:
NES Remix 2 – £8.99 – Take a run at even more retro remixes in NES™ Remix 2! Delve into over 160 bite-sized 8-bit challenges based on classic moments from 12 NES titles. This time, try your hand at twisted trials taken from later NES releases like Metroid, Kirby’s Adventure, Super Mario Bros. 3, Punch-Out!!, Kid Icarus, and more! Conquer NES stages and earn Stars to unlock extra stages before moving onto Remix stages, where the rules are rewritten and the outcomes are all but expected! Nab coins from the world of Mario as Kirby, help Link escape a ghastly gang of Boos and try to clear viruses as they change colour in Dr. Mario – even retro veterans will have to relearn loads to overcome these encounters! Re-master a dozen classic NES titles and get a fresh spin on the retro era in NES™ Remix 2, only on Nintendo eShop on Wii U!
If you also have save data from the first NES™ Remix, you can try for high scores in three rapid-fire levels in Championship Mode!

Yoshi’s Island: Super Mario Advance 3 – GBA Virtual Console – £6.29 – When the evil Kamek tries to kidnap the baby Mario brothers, Yoshi must save the day. Carrying Baby Mario on your back, traverse a gorgeous crayon-coloured world – stomping on enemies and throwing eggs – to defeat Kamek and his master Baby Bowser! Yoshi’s Island: Super Mario Advance 3 is acclaimed for its captivating visuals and gameplay that keeps you on your toes, as you protect Baby Mario through fiendishly designed levels. Also included is the original Mario Bros. to round off a perfect nostalgic package!

Sayonara UmiharaKawase – £19.99 – Use your elastic fishing hook to play! Featuring a girl armed with only with her backpack and trusty fishing hook, this traveling sushi chef departs on a journey in a dream-like world filled with fish and other wildlife gone awry. You will need to think how to get out the stages like a puzzle game, and learn the way to use the hook to get out the stages ASAP like an action game. You will also be able to `re-start` from the check points and `slow` to move slowly not to fail. On top, if you connect to the internet, you will get the ranking among the players in your territories!
Bit Boy!! ARCADE – £7.19 – KUBITASTIC!! Kubi is back, and this time he meets his creator: the Game Designer!! The fun story tells of Kubi, his friends, the evil black Shadow Plattchen, the mighty gearwheel ZeLeLi and something about game development too.
Sea Battle – DSi Ware – £1.79/200 Points – Command your fleet to victory in this epic battle on open seas! Hidden in the untamed ocean awaits an enemy ready to attack. Launch strikes and counter-strikes with missiles and powerful torpedoes to locate and submerge your enemy’s entire fleet in this new rendition of the classic paper and pencil game, Battleship.
