The official UK quad poster for BLOOD TIES has been revealed.

BLOOD TIES is a super stylish Seventies New York crime thriller with a star-studded cast including Clive Owen (Sin City), Mila Kunis (Ted), Marion Cotillard (The Dark Knight Rises), Zoe Saldana (Out of the Furnace), Billy Crudup (Eat, Pray, Love) and James Caan (The Godfather).

Adapted from Michel Papet’s novel Les Liens Du Sang (aka “Rivals”) by James Gray (We Own The Night), Canet’s celebrated European cinema background adds a gritty realism to the 70s East Coast swagger.

New York, 1974.

Fifty-year-old Chris has just been released from prison on good behaviour, several years after he was involved in a gangland murder. Waiting for him reluctantly outside the prison gates is his younger brother, Frank, a cop with a bright future.

Hoping that Chris has changed, Frank is willing to give his brother a chance; he shares his home, finds him a job, and helps him reconnect with his children and his ex-wife. But Chris’ past quickly begins to catch up with him, and his descent back into a life of crime becomes inevitable.

For Frank, it’s the last in a long line of betrayals, and he banishes him from his life. But it’s already too late; the brothers’ destiny will be bounded, forever. Blood ties are the ones that bind.

In addition to BLOOD TIES’ theatrical opening on August 15th, Lionsgate will also make the movie available for digital download and premium on-demand on the same day.

I love prosthetic effects, stop-motion animation and gore, but most of all I love a good story! I adore B-movies and exploitation films in many of their guises and also have a soft spot for creature features. I review a wide range of media including movies, TV series, books and videogames. I'm a massive fan of author Hunter S. Thompson and I enjoy various genre of videogames with Kingdom Hearts and Harvest Moon two of my all time favs. Currently playing: Kingdom Come: Deliverance
