Win FREQUENCIES on DVD In Our Competition!

frequencies

The timeless story of star-crossed lovers is given a thought-provoking, profound reworking in FREQUENCIES, arriving on digital platforms from April 13, 2015 and on DVD from April 20th 2015 and we’ve got 5 copies to give away on DVD to our readers, courtesy of Signature Entertainment.

In a world that is not quite here and not quite now, a young boy (Young Isaac-Newton: Charlie Rixon) and girl (Young Marie-Curie: Lily Laight: Love Rosie) meet. However, in this world this simple fact should not be possible. In this world human FREQUENCY has been discovered. If you are high frequency, you are born lucky – you will have natural ‘timing’ and always be in the right place at the right time. If you are low frequency every natural law will conspire against you.

Marie (Adolescent Marie: Georgina Minter-Brown) is super-high frequency, Zak (Adolescent Zak: Dylan Llewellyn: TV’s Hollyoaks) is ultra-low. Nature should ensure that they never cross paths. Yet they do. Every year they get to spend exactly one minute together before nature dramatically intervenes.

Over the years it becomes an obsession for Zak (Adult Zak: Daniel Fraser) to change his frequency and be with Marie (Adult Marie: Eleanor Wyld). What he discovers may allow him to realize his dream, but will change everything we know about ourselves and our destinies, forever.

A mind-bending sci-fi romance, FREQUENCIES has already generated huge buzz at festivals- featuring superb performances, including a wonderful supporting turn from Joanna Hole (Pusher, Half Light), this uniquely ambitious story will provoke, captivate and ultimately leave you wondering just how responsible for your own fate you truly are…

For your chance to win FREQUENCIES on DVD, simply comment below telling us which sci-fi character couple are your favourite and why?

The competition will close at 11.59pm GMT on Sunday 3rd May 2015 and five valid comments will be chosen and notified by email.

I love prosthetic effects, stop-motion animation and gore, but most of all I love a good story! I adore B-movies and exploitation films in many of their guises and also have a soft spot for creature features. I review a wide range of media including movies, TV series, books and videogames. I'm a massive fan of author Hunter S. Thompson and I enjoy various genre of videogames with Kingdom Hearts and Harvest Moon two of my all time favs. Currently playing: Silent Hill

  1. Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker – because the force is strong in them two and they have the best one on one battles in any sci-fi film ever

  2. Mulder and Scully from X-files, as they worked together great and though a few year ago now, it was great viewing

  8. julian bashir and miles o’brien from star trek: ds9. by far the best tv trek (particularly once ronald d moore came on board) and at it’s heart is a classic bromance.
