OK, so the new ‘It’ adaptation IS dead, for now, as Warners have confirmed

First Cary Fukunaga quit directing a new adaptation of Stephen King’s It, then sources told Bloody Disgusting that the film had reverted back to Warners from New Line, and that the project was back on, minus Fukunaga.

Turns out that those sources were misinformed, and It is NOT back on at all, and there are no future plans for the film at this point.

A Warners rep contacted BD to explain:

“It will remain at New Line Cinema with no firm determination on location or shooting schedule”

So yeah, bummer, right?

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
