Are you sitting comfortably? Good, now move to the edge of your seat, because that’s all your going to need! The full length trailer for Eli Roth’s Italian cannibal horror homage, The Green Inferno, has now arrived, and it promise some seriously nasty stuff.

This new trailer builds up the ‘victims’ better than the first trailer, and we also get right to the heart of what makes this film look so frightening. The Italian Cannibal films of the 70’s and early 80’s were so effective because they mostly featured a small group of explorers, or something like that, deep in the rainforest and subjected to horrific violence, with no way out. The Green Inferno trailer gives us exactly that too, and the unsettling thing is these people were going to save the rainforest and its inhabitants, but they have now become dinner!

Eli Roth directs, co-writes and produces The Green Inferno, which arrives in US cinemas on 25th September. The cast includes Lorenza Isso, Ariel Levy, Daryl Sabara, and Kirby Bliss Blanton.

Synopsis:

From acclaimed horror director Eli Roth, THE GREEN INFERNO follows a group of student activists who travel from New York City to the Amazon to save the rain forest. However, once they arrive in this vast green landscape, they soon discover that they are not alone… and that no good deed goes unpunished.

Matt Wavish

Matt WavishA keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
