First clip from horror feature ‘The Gallows’ is a pain in the neck

Arriving in UK cinemas on 17th July is a new, and critically acclaimed horror, The Gallows. The trailers have already served up an chilling tease for one of the horror events of the year, and to give the film a little nudge, Warner Brothers have released the opening scene from the film.

The clip shows how Charlie died, and if you check out the trailer as well, you will find out exactly who Charlie is.

Using the found footage technique, but bringing it into even further realms of realism by presenting viewers with video footage of a play, the clip is eerily real, and very cleverly conceived. You will find the clip, along with a reminder of the trailer, below.

From Blumhouse Productions (Insidious, Sinister) this release from Warner Bros. Pictures UK marks a return to the truly terrifying for NEW LINE CINEMA.

THE GALLOWS is written and directed by Travis Cluff and Chris Lofing and also stars Cassidy Gifford, Ryan Shoos, Reese Mishler and Pfeifer Brown. The film will hang UK cinemas from 17th July.

Twenty years after an accident caused the death of the lead actor during a high school play, students at the same small town school resurrect the failed stage production in a misguided attempt to honor the anniversary of the tragedy—but ultimately find out that some things are better left alone.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
