Considering the ferocity and utter brilliance of hie Maniac remake, I am extremely excited about director Franck Khalfoun’s new horror, Amityville: The Awakening.

It’s been almost a year since the glorious and shit scary first trailer dropped, before the film was pulled from release. However, last month producers Blumhouse revealed the US release date for the film, which means it back on, and its time to start promoting the darn thing!

A brand new image has been released, which I am sure you’ll agree is rather creepy. I am liking what I see, but what I really want to see is a new trailer!

Check out the image below.

Amityville: The Awakening is directed by Franck Khalfoun, and the cast includes Jennifer Jason Leigh stars as lead character Joan, a single mother who moves her three kids into the Amityville house. Bella Thorne, Cameron Monaghan, Taylor Spreitler, and McKenna Grace also appear in the film.

Amityville: The Awakening is produced by Jason Blum, Casey La Scala and Daniel Farrands. Bob and Harvey Weinstein are Executive Producers. Casey La Scala and Daniel Farrands wrote the script. The film arrives in US cinemas on 15th April 2016.

Synopsis:

Belle, her little sister, and her comatose twin brother move into a new house with their single mother Joan in order to save money to help pay for her brother’s expensive healthcare. But when strange phenomena begin to occur in the house including the miraculous recovery of her brother, Belle begins to suspect her Mother isn’t telling her everything and soon realizes they just moved into the infamous Amityville house.

Matt WavishA keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
