Warner Brothers have teased Zack Snyder’s epic superhero film, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice with a number of images, some posters and a pretty cool and intense teaser trailer.

Now, finally, the official synopsis has been released, but it leaves a few unanswered questions.

Here is the official synopsis:

Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.

Naturally the first two questions is where exactly does Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor fit in to this said threat, and there is also no mention of Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, so what of her? Time will tell.

The big question though, is who or what is this new threat that quickly arises? It can’t be Luthor because he’s hardly a “new” threat is he, so what has Snyder got up his sleeve?

Fingers crossed then that Warners and DC manage to keep this threat a secret for as long as possible, giving fans the chance to ponder over exactly who, or what it is…

Warner Bros. Pictures’ “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” is the highly anticipated action adventure from director Zack Snyder, starring Henry Cavill in the role of Clark Kent/Superman, and Ben Affleck as BruceWayne/Batman.

“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” also stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane returning from “Man of Steel,” Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, and Holly Hunter in a role newly created for the film.

“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice”is written by Chris Terrio, from a screenplay by David S. Goyer. Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder are producing, with Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan, Wesley Coller, David S. Goyer and Geoff Johns serving as executive producers.

Set to open worldwide on 25th March, 2016, “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” is based on Superman characters created by Jerry Siegel & Joe Shuster, Batman characters created by Bob Kane, and Wonder Woman created by William Moulton Marston, appearing in comic books published by DC Entertainment.

Matt WavishA keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
