The more I hear about Paul Feig’s all-female Ghostbusters movie, the more I dislike it, and todays casting news only adds to my upset.
Deadline reports that Chris Hemsworth has joined the cast, and will play a feckin receptionist!
The role is a supporting lead — Hemsworth will be playing the male version of Annie Potts’ Janine Melnitz, secretary to the original band of ghostbusters. One source told Deadline that he will be the assistant to the band of ghostbusting gals “who nobody wants to work with.”

Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones will star in the “Ghostbusters” reboot.
Story details are unknown other than this film centers on the next generation of Ghostbusters, who happen to be female.
Ivan Reitman is producing.
It has been reported that the female Ghostbusters will be:
Erin Gabler is an academic on the tenure track at Columbia. Her former colleague and co-author is…
Abby Bergman, who’s more on the pop parapsychology side of things, and pursues ghosts for a living.
Jillian is Abby’s ghost hunting partner.
Patty is an MTA employee who comes across the main ghost.
