I love prosthetic effects, stop-motion animation and gore, but most of all I love a good story! I adore B-movies and exploitation films in many of their guises and also have a soft spot for creature features. I review a wide range of media including movies, TV series, books and videogames. I'm a massive fan of author Hunter S. Thompson and I enjoy various genre of videogames with Kingdom Hearts and Harvest Moon two of my all time favs. Currently playing: Silent Hill

  1. The Amityville Horror – was reading the book first which was so graphic and even included a map. Kept waking up subconsciously at 3 am when in the book, a band started playing with the carpets rolled back and the owner gets bitten by a lion at the foot of the stairs. When the film came out it wasn’t nearly as scary as the book but brought back some memories!!!

  2. Poltergeist was the first ever ghost film i watched, i was really young. My mum was watching it whilst me and my sister was in bed but i sneaked downstairs and hid behind the sofa and watched it. My mum went mad when she found me :/

  3. Poltergeist, one of the best films ever made IMO. I’m shocked it’s been remade-some things should just be left alone!

  4. As a kid i liked The Others, it was the first horror film i ever saw and it really scared me, so much so i nearly didnt understand the twist 🙂

  5. My fave Ghost film when I was a kid has to be the original and the best ‘Ghostbusters’…I loved Slimer and collected all the toys and stickers – who can ever forget the giant Marshmallow man? 😉

  6. i watched 13 ghosts at a friends sleep-over and was terrified .. i wanted to go home .. my friend bribed me to stay with sweets.

  7. Beetlejuice (that’s sort of a ghost film!)
I remember seeing it when I was about 9 years old and it scared the heck out of me!

  8. I liked The Sixth Sense when I started highschool because it was the first time I saw ghosts as more believable and grown up, and not silly like in so many other films

  9. poltergeist – my brother was a lot older and showed me a lot of movies I shpuldnt have seen. I did like this though 😛
