BatWhilst I love prosthetic effects, stop-motion animation and gore, nothing can beat a good story! I adore B-movies and exploitation films in many of their guises and also have a soft spot for creature features. I review a wide range of media including movies, TV series, books and videogames. I'm a massive fan of author Hunter S. Thompson and I enjoy various genre of videogames with Kingdom Hearts and Harvest Moon two of my all time favs. I don't do 3D movies so put the red and green spex away!

  13. The Amityville Horror – was reading the book first which was so graphic and even included a map. Kept waking up subconsciously at 3 am when in the book, a band started playing with the carpets rolled back and the owner gets bitten by a lion at the foot of the stairs. When the film came out it wasn’t nearly as scary as the book but brought back some memories!!!

  18. Poltergeist was the first ever ghost film i watched, i was really young. My mum was watching it whilst me and my sister was in bed but i sneaked downstairs and hid behind the sofa and watched it. My mum went mad when she found me :/

  40. My fave Ghost film when I was a kid has to be the original and the best ‘Ghostbusters’…I loved Slimer and collected all the toys and stickers – who can ever forget the giant Marshmallow man? 😉

  45. i watched 13 ghosts at a friends sleep-over and was terrified .. i wanted to go home .. my friend bribed me to stay with sweets.
    i ralised the movie had it’s good points xx

  58. I liked The Sixth Sense when I started highschool because it was the first time I saw ghosts as more believable and grown up, and not silly like in so many other films

  59. I go back quite a way to childhood, Scrooge with Alastair Sim was a great film.
