I love prosthetic effects, stop-motion animation and gore, but most of all I love a good story! I adore B-movies and exploitation films in many of their guises and also have a soft spot for creature features. I review a wide range of media including movies, TV series, books and videogames. I'm a massive fan of author Hunter S. Thompson and I enjoy various genre of videogames with Kingdom Hearts and Harvest Moon two of my all time favs. Currently playing: Silent Hill

  1. I loved him in Ender’s Game because it was the first time I saw him play a ‘serious’ character and forever changed how I saw him as an actor leading me to watch some of his other works.

  2. So many to choose from – Gandhi and Sexy Beast are two that certainly stand out, but I’m gonna go with SPECIES from 1995. Good performances from the ensemble cast, an engaging storyline and Natasha Henstridge is gorgeous!

  3. Lucky number slevin, what a great film with a twist, loads of stars, & Ben Kingsley plays a great part as ‘the rabbi’. Think I might watch it again soon.

  4. Ghandi – as it really captured the life of a man and the struggle what existed., without being too one-sided.

  10. Iron Man 3 even though it was a disappointment to find out he wasnt the real Mandarin his character Trevor was awesome and he even played the character better in the Marvel One Shot Hail tjhe king when it shows his life behind bars. Amazing actor. 😈

  11. I love the Film House of Sand and Fog because it has an interesting story about an Iranian man(Ben Kingsley) who buys a house to make a home for himself and his family and the former owner who is jealous of the renovations that he has made and then wants her house back with terrible consequences which affect them all.

  12. Schindlers list – A truly amazing and heart wrenching film which was made even better by the number of amazing performances.

  13. Schindler’s List – stunning film all round, beautifully filmed, beautifully acted and a true horror story about human nature that just floors me everytime!

  14. I’m going to go a little bit strange here and say Sweeney Todd in the tv movie Sweeney Todd. I have it on dvd and watch in regularly – and he is just fantastic in the role. If you haven’t watched it, do so.
