Bloody Disgusting got their hands on the first poster for horror sequel, Contracted: Phase II, and you can view the poster below. Be careful not to get too close though, as you won’t want to catch anything!

Writer-director Eric England’s first film was an original low-budget take on the zombie genre about a young woman in rapid decay after picking up an icky, mysterious disease from a one-night stand. The sequel continues where Contracted left off, as newly-infected Riley (Matt Mercer) scrambles to track down those responsible for the outbreak and discovers a larger conspiracy that threatens to infect the world.

Contracted co-stars Matt Mercer and Alice MacDonald are back, joined by Peter Cilella, Marianna Palka, Morgan Peter Brown, Laurel Vail, Anna Lore and Suzanne Voss in a follow-up that ups the ante on the first critically acclaimed film.

Contracted: Phase II is directed by Josh Forbes with a screenplay by Craig Walendziak.

“We are thrilled to announce that we’ve wrapped principle photography on Contracted 2, an all out, bigger, crazier, virus-ier sequel in every way possible,” say producers J.D. Lifshitz and Raphael Margules. “We can’t wait to unleash it on fans.”

Phase II follows the story of Samantha as she suffers from a mysterious and degenerative disease. Picking up directly where the previous film left off, Phase II follows Riley, one of the last people to come in contact with Samantha, as he scrambles to track down those responsible for the outbreak before the highly contagious disease not only consumes his body, but the world as we know it.

Matt WavishA keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
