I have to be honest and admit that I actually love Predator 2.  It may not have its fans, but the idea of moving the concept from the jungle onto the streets and have someone like Danny Glover as the hero, rocks in my world.

It seems though that the original star Arnold Schwarzenegger shares the same thoughts that many fans have, in that the studio messed up what could have been a fantastic franchise.

“The sad story is that sometimes studios do a great job with creating sequels, and sometimes they really screw it up bad, and it all has to do with greed” he said when asked about the franchise during a Q&A promoting the new Terminator film.

“They sometimes want to do it really cheap and make as much money as possible, so they don’t hire the right cast or the right director………so far, no Predator, no matter which one they did after the first one has come out, has been satisfactory to the audience”

Maybe that is all set to change though.  Original co-star and acclaimed writer/director Shane Black is currently working on a whole new sequel and all we know so far is Schwarzenegger has not been approached to reprise his role even though Arnie himself has admitted, Predator is one of his favourite films.

Maybe that phone will start ringing to call Major Alan “Dutch” Schaefer back in action!

Ross HughesSince my mother sat me down at the age of five years of age and watched a little called Halloween, I have been hooked on horror. There is no other genre that gets me excited and takes me to the edge of entertainment. I watch everything from old, new, to cheap and blockbusters, but I promise all my readers that I will always give an honest opinion, and I hope whoever reads this review section, will find a film that they too can love as much as I do! Have fun reading, and please DO HAVE NIGHTMARES!!!!!!
