The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist is currently in pre-production under the watchful eye of director James Wan, and by now fans should know that Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga (above) are returning as real life paranormal investigators, Ed and Lorraine Warren.

Wilson posted the below image this week, confirming the pair are back. Note that they are stood outside building called the New England Paranormal Research Center.

Wilson tagged director James Wan in the image, quoting “we’re baaaaack!”

The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist, will be released in US cinemas on 10th June 2016, and at this moment in time the UK is set for 30th October 2016.

Peter Safran will produce for The Safran Company along with Wan. New Line executives Dave Neustadter and Walter Hamada will oversee the project for the studio. Production is expected to start this summer.

While no official synopsis has been released, here is what was reported last year on what could potentially be the sequels plot:

Per AICN:

The case file they’re looking at occurs in the late ’70s and centers on two sisters in Enfield, England, who were allegedly possessed. Warren said she personally saw them levitate and even saw one of the sister dematerialize in front of her only to be found 20 minutes later stuffed into an oversized fuse box, contorted in such an unnatural way that they couldn’t have replicated it if they tried. She also said that the demon spoke directly to her husband on many occasions. Warren cited this case as one of the most terrifying experiences of her career.

Matt WavishA keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
