The last update we have on the sixth Resident Evil film, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, was back in January as Milla Jovovich was about to give birth. In her message to fans she revealed that the film was planning an August shoot this year.
With a release date still penciled in for September 2nd 2016, an August shoot seemed likely as the film really does need to get moving.
Well, it has now been confirmed that preparations are in place for the shoot, which will take place in South Africa, as Jovovich posted an image on Instagram yesterday. The image shows Jovovich as Alice, having a face cast made, and she also confirms that she’s flying to South Africa today to start prepping the shoot.
Well, the moment so many of you have been waiting for is finally here where I can tell you that it’s zombie killing season for the Jovovich-Anderson clan! Here I am getting my face cast made for “resident evil: the final chapter”!! I leave to South Africa tomorrow to start prepping for the movie! #residentevilmovie #ladiary
The working title of the film is Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, and will see Jovovich return as Alice, with her husband Paul W.S. Anderson returning to direct. Also expect to see the return of Wentworth Miller’s character, Chris Redfield.
