Sony have announced that the latest James Bond film, Spectre, will have its world premiere here in the UK in London, on 26th October, the same day the film opens in UK cinemas.
Filming locations for the latest installment in the massively popular franchise include London, Austria, Italy, Mexico and Morocco.
The name SPECTRE was featured in Ian Fleming’s Bond novels and stands for Special Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion. It’s a fictional global criminal syndicate and terrorist organization, led by supervillain Ernst Stavro Blofeld, and first appeared in the novel “Thunderball” and in the film “Dr. No” in 1962.
Daniel Craig returns in his fourth outing as Bond. Alongside returning cast members Rory Kinnear (Tanner), Ben Whishaw (Q), Naomie Harris (Miss Moneypenny) and Ralph Fiennes (M), Spectre will also star Andrew Scott as MI6 agent Denbigh, David Bautista as Mr. Hinx, Monica Bellucci as Lucia Sciarra, Léa Seydoux as Madeleine Swann and Christoph Waltz as Oberhauser.
Sam Mendes will also return to direct the screenplay written by John Logan. The film is set for release in UK theaters on October 26th, 2015 and in US theaters on November 6, 2015.
Mendes’ “Skyfall,” the 23rd James Bond movie, took over $1.1 billion at the box office worldwide.
Spectre will be filming at Pinewood Studios, Mexico City, Rome, Tangier & Erfoud, Morocco, Sölden, Obertilliach and Lake Altausee, Austria.
