Collider were provided with an exclusive new poster for the insane looking retro flick, Turbo Kid, so we have the poster below for you to feast your eyes on. It’s also a good excuse to take another look at the ultra violent trailer.

The poster is an illustrated work of brilliance, bringing back memories of those super 80’s film posters, and its glorious.

Collider also provided some release details for the film.

Per Collider:

The film opens August 28th in New York, LA, DC, San Francisco, Dallas, Austin, Houston, and 20 additional cities. The film will have its North American premiere at the 19th annual Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal on July 23rd, and its New Zealand premiere at the New Zealand International Film Festival on July 18th, followed up by its UK/European Premiere at FrightFest London on August 27th.

Turbo Kid is directed by François Simard, Anouk Whissell and Yoann-Karl Whissell. The cast includes Munro Chambers, Michael Ironside, Laurence Leboeuf, Aaron Jeffery and Edwin Wright.

Synopsis:

In a post-apocalyptic future, THE KID, a young solitary scavenger obsessed with comic books must face his fears and become a reluctant hero when he meets a mysterious girl named APPLE. Despite their efforts to keep to themselves, ZEUS, the sadistic and self-proclaimed leader of the Wasteland, plagues THE KID and APPLE. Armed with little more than blind faith and an ancient turbocharged weapon, THE KID learns of justice and friendship and embarks on an incredible journey to rid the Wasteland of evil and save the girl of his dreams.
