BatI love prosthetic effects, stop-motion animation and gore, but most of all I love a good story! I adore B-movies and exploitation films in many of their guises and also have a soft spot for creature features. I review a wide range of media including movies, TV series, books and videogames. I'm a massive fan of author Hunter S. Thompson and I enjoy various genre of videogames with Kingdom Hearts and Harvest Moon two of my all time favs. Currently playing: Silent Hill

  1. Insidious-great film where the young lad is in a coma for most of it !

  2. Eden Lake is a really cool british film involving menacing kids. A really shocking film that was one of Michael Fassbender’s first!

  3. Childs Play !!!

  4. Children of the Corn, the first one! You can pretty much forget the sequels, but the original still has power.

  5. The sixth sense…creepy kid!

  6. Child`s Play, as it was so creepy yet watchable when i first saw it

  7. The Shining, an absolute classic horror, featuring Danny and the Twins as the child roles. I chose this as it is such a chilling film with a very disturbing story line. And Jack Nicholson gives an absolutely amazing performance.

  8. children of the corn brill

  9. Poltergiest for me!

  10. The Babadook – It’s a fantastic and original indie film with superb acting. Noah Wiseman is such a good little actor. I also love the film Excision for the same reasons.

  11. The Exorcist. Ye gads that was unsettling.

  12. Poltergiest it was the most scariest movies i ever saw the little girl played the roll so well & the movie has been imprinted into my memory for all my life this one for me is in my top 5 of scary movies

  13. children of the corn great film

  14. The Bad Seed because to the amazing plot twist (I’m surprised it’s not better known)

  15. Whilst it’s not exactly a film featuring kids as such, I think The Shining (1980) fits the bill nicely. I think Danny’s contribution was enough to give it true “kid featured horror.”

  16. I liked ‘The Others’ with Nicole kidman. great film.

  17. Village of the Damned – the hive mind!

  18. has to be poltergeist

  19. Children of the Corn, I liked the two most evil kids in the movie Isaac and Malachai even their names sound evil.

  20. Poltergiest, because “they’re here” is as creepy today as it was when it was first made.

  21. The film SINISTER because in the film you watch all the horrible way someone is going around killing families and then you find out that its kids that are doing it

  22. The Omen – Damien Thorn is the only kid I know who makes my son look well behaved

  23. Poltergeist. Peterborough Cathedral had banned me from a meeting of 500 Tourette Syndrome sufferers, so I got a choice swear word from the film to gain entrance, and then proceeded to cure them all using the Kadir-Buxton Method. My halo is nice and shiny in consequence!

  24. Let the Right One In for being moving and unsentimental

  25. Like the previous poster I would choose “Let the Right One in” – I love the relationships in it.

  26. Quite like the brit horror The Children. One of the few horrors that breaks the taboo of actually killing the kids! Unsettling!

  27. The Brood, terrified me when i was a kid,

  28. Poltergeist – especially the scene where the boy is so scared he can’t really speak – that always freaks me out

  29. Has to be the Monster Squad

  30. Goonies as it is a scream!!!

  31. The Omen – really scary especially the rottweiler

  32. Insidious scares the crap out of me and it’s all the worse because kids are involved

  33. Village of the damned – Scary kids (even scarier Kirsty Alley!!!!)

  34. Pet Sematary – Gage is truly creepy when he comes back from the dead.

  35. The Gate – great forced perspective monsters.

  36. Battle Royale – great premise and plenty of gruesome deaths – that’s one way to control the population I guess!!

  37. It has to be The Exorcist.

  38. Village of the Damned

  39. When I first saw the original Children of the Damned, I was terrified.

  40. tantrums/the devil times five. great idea (slasher film with teens offed by murderous kids) executed so badly it becomes a glorious comedy. it borders on nonsensical.

would you kill a child?/island of the damned is a similar sort of film, but done really well. i don’t like it as much as tantrums but i’d actually recommend it.

  41. Children of the corn totally put me off having kids for quite a while

  42. Poltergeist, its just so spooky and scary, that phrase “they’re here” haunts me even now.

  43. Poltergeist it’s so creepy

  44. Village Of The Damned, the original version (1960) , that was scary.

  45. The baby in Its Alive or the kid Gage in Pet Sematary

  46. The Shining because the ghostly twin girls are really creepy.

  47. The swivelling head and gravelly voice in The Exorcist – will stay with me for ever

  48. The sixth sense that kid was well creepy 😉

  49. I think the original Japanese version of ‘The Ring’ was freaky, especially the grey staring boy who lives in the attic 😉

  50. Sleepaway Camp the first one not the second. It was the first horror movie I saw as a kid with my step mom. It was her fav. Bullies loose, nice concept

  51. The Omen is a classic.

  52. Insidious. I love the little details and the dramatic irony used!

  53. The Others is really spooky

  54. The Omen (still makes me shudder!)

  55. the omen was creepy

  56. Village of the damned (1960). The clothes, the hair! That’s enough to give you nightmares !

  57. The Lost Boys – one of my favourite movies as a kid.

  58. Child’s Play, because it’s funny and scary

  59. Pet cemetery. Its a great horror film and made me want to be able to bring my pets back

  60. The only movie I could find about kids is “Shiny Baby Goats”. What’s that…..Oh wrong type of kid! In that case, it probably has to be Kindergarten Cop – that was one hell of a horror movie. Truthfully though I think that the movie “Case 39” is a very good horror with a good twist at the end.

  61. The Sixth Sense

  62. The Sixth Sense – The twist is amazing!

  63. Children of the corn – creepy

  64. Exorcist

  65. It. I remember seeing it when I was a child and it providing fuel to the fire of my already present fear of clowns and people dressed up in any kind of costume. I’m looking forward to but apprehensive about the remake!

  67. children of the corn

  68. 28 weeks later, gotta love those zombies 🙂

  69. The Hole (Joe Dante movie) and its not that its scary but its a horror for children which is a great idea not too scary but enough for them and gave me a movie i have grown to love.

  70. Children of the corn I have a great photo of my twins very blond running g through a field when they were about 1.5

  71. The others, didn’t sleep for weeks!

  72. The Omen

  73. Eden Lake for me

  74. i’m not a big horror film person but my other half loves them. he would say insidious was very good.

  75. Pet Semetary – one scary baby!

  76. My favourite has got to be Child’s Play. I remember watching it for the first time when I was about 13, and it scared the life out of me

  77. The Omen- very scary

  78. The Omen

  79. Lady In Black – atmospheric

  80. The Omen

  81. Childs Play love it

  82. Poltergeist – I watched it when I was really young and for a long time after I couldn’t have any reflective surfaces in my bedroom as I was afraid I’d get sucked into them lol

  83. The Others, it has a great twist

  84. I thought Sinister was creepy and very original

  85. Poltergeist because it’s a classic!

  86. The exorcist it’s a classic

  87. The LOST BOys because it’s an amazing movie with an awesome cast.

It was scary, funny- all round awesomeness.

  88. IT because even after all these years it still scares me

  89. The omen films because they are still as scary today as the first time I watched them amazing

  90. Goonies lol 80s legend!

  91. The sixth sense…great film
