Yahoo! have revealed the very first look at Michael Fassbender in full costume for the movie adaptation of Assassin’s Creed, the film based on the popular video game. The image can be seen above and below, and I am sure you’ll agree that Fassbender certainly looks the part.

However, just who is this mystery assassin he is playing? Well, Yahoo! had the answer:

Fassbender’s character is named Callum Lynch, who hasn’t appeared in the “Assassin’s Creed” videogames but was created just for the film. Lynch learns he has family ties to a secret assassin society, and his connection lets him experience the story of his ancestor, Aguilar, who lived in Spain in the 15th century. His experiences with Aguilar help him battle the Knights Templar in the present day.

Based on the wildly popular collection of videogames, New Regency’s live-action Assassin’s Creed will be directed by Justin Kurzel and released through Fox.

Filming begins today!

Michael Fassbender stars alongside Marion Cotillard, Michael Kenneth Williams and Ariane Labed.

Assassin’s Creed hits cinemas Dec. 21, 2016.

Matt WavishA keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
