Earlier this year Anchor Bay acquired worldwide rights to I Spit On Your Grave: Vengeance is Mine, the third film in the series that began with Steven R. Monroe’s superb remake of the notorious 70’s horror. The series took a serious dip in quality with Monroe’s own sequel, I Spit on Your Grave 2, and now the third film is almost upon us.

Anchor Bay will release the film in the US cinemas on 9th October, and then on DVD, Blu-ray and VOD on 20th October. The film will be released here in the UK on DVD and Blu-ray on 26th October.

No trailer has been released yet, but the first US poster has now been revealed, which you will find below. It features a returning Sarah Butler (from the remake), and instead of the remake poster which showed Butler almost naked, this poster has her in a sexy red dress, reminiscent of Jemma Dallender’s (above) dress from the sequel.

I Spit On Your Grave: Vengeance is Mine is directed by R.D. Braunstein, and the cast includes Sarah Butler, Jennifer Landon (“The Young and the Restless”), Doug McKeon and Gabriel Hogan (“Heartland”).

Jennifer Hills (Sarah Butler) is still tormented by the brutal sexual assault she endured years ago (I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE 2010). She’s changed identities and cities, reluctantly joining a support group where she begins to piece together a new life. But when her new friend’s murderer goes free and the tales of serial rapists haunt her, Jennifer will hunt down the men responsible and do what the system won’t – make them pay for their crimes in the most horrific ways imaginable. Only this time, no jury may be able to save her.

Matt WavishA keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
