It looks like the success of the Scream TV Show is proving a blueprint for others to follow…..

Despite a massive divide between those loving the adventures of Ghostface on the small screen, to those who hate it (I myself just find it sooooooooooooo frustrating),  the show is doing “well on MTV” and now the CW Network are jumping on the bandwagon and bringing Jason Voorhees to our living room on a weekly basis.

Described as a drama, we are being told that this will “re-imagine” the whole legacy and will be based on a detective who is searching for his missing brother and is somehow linked to Jason and Camp Crystal Lake!

Will this tie in with the already planned Friday 13th film?  Who knows but Sean S. Cunningham, who directed the original and as played a huge part in the long running series will serve as an executive producer.

Steve Mitchell and Craig Van Sickle are the show runners, with their CV showing the likes of The Pretender,24 and Alien Nation.

Lets hope this is more Bates Motel in quality than the hit and miss Scream offering!

Ross HughesSince my mother sat me down at the age of five years of age and watched a little called Halloween, I have been hooked on horror. There is no other genre that gets me excited and takes me to the edge of entertainment. I watch everything from old, new, to cheap and blockbusters, but I promise all my readers that I will always give an honest opinion, and I hope whoever reads this review section, will find a film that they too can love as much as I do! Have fun reading, and please DO HAVE NIGHTMARES!!!!!!
