I love Homeland, and I thought Season 4 was up there with some of the very best TV last year, so I am stoked that Season 5 is just over a month away.

Showtime have now released the full length trailer, and if you are a fan of the series then boy is his trailer a treat. There’s some brutal violence on display, and Carrie (Claire Danes) appears to be in some serious trouble, while also dealing with her inner demons.

It’s good to see the regular cast back, and what is really great is how Homeland continues to develop its story and change things up. The series is now so far from where it all began in terms of what the initial story arch was, and the series continues to be damn exciting, and extremely tense TV.

Season 5 looks superb, so bring on October, I am getting impatient!

Carrie (Claire Danes) looks to be in a whole heap of trouble here, and not only that there appears to be further conflicts between her and Saul (Mandy Patinkin), and thankfully its good to see Quinn (Rupert Friend) back too.

Homeland returns to Showtime on 4th October.

Showtime described Season 5 as such:

The series will pick up two years after Carrie Mathison’s ill-fated tenure as Islamabad station chief. Struggling to reconcile her guilt and disillusionment with years of working on the front lines in the “war on terror,” Carrie finds herself in a self-imposed exile in Berlin, estranged from the CIA and working as the head of security for a German philanthropist.

Matt WavishA keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
