Prepare your senses for the ferocious and haunting full length trailer for The Revenant, director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu’s new film after his Oscar winning Birdman. Clearly The Revenant is destined for awards glory too.

The official full length trailer is now with us after the stunning teaser trailer, and boy does this new trailer deliver on every level. It’s frightening, intense, haunting, chilling and full of revenge and madness, and it looks utterly, utterly amazing.

DiCaprio, as ever, looks to be giving a masterful performance, and while the production of the film has been bogged don with human rights complaints due to what the director put his cast through, his extreme techniques have clearly brought out the best in his actors. This just might be my most anticipated film of the year.

The Revenant is written and directed by Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, and the cast includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hardy, Domhnall Gleeson, Will Poulter and Paul Anderson.

The film arrives in UK cinemas 15th January 2016.

Synopsis:

Inspired by true events, THE REVENANT captures one man’s epic adventure of survival and the extraordinary power of the human spirit. In an expedition of the uncharted American wilderness, legendary explorer Hugh Glass (Leonardo DiCaprio) is brutally attacked by a bear and left for dead by members of his own hunting team. In a quest to survive, Glass endures unimaginable grief as well as the betrayal of his confidant John Fitzgerald (Tom Hardy). Guided by sheer will and the love of his family, Glass must navigate a vicious winter in a relentless pursuit to live and find redemption.

Matt WavishA keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
