Mickey Keating is the director behind the critically acclaimed sci-fi horror Pod, and he’s back with a new tale of utter terror. Titled Darling, EW scored the first ever trailer, which defies explanation.
It’s a one minute trailer that assaults the senses and will give you shivers, and it certainly hits all the right buttons to give hardcore horror fans some genuine scares. Darling looks utterly insane, and I cannot wait for this to get released. Be afraid horror fans, be afraid…
Darling stars Carter as a lonely young woman who is hired as the caretaker of an old, mysterious Manhattan mansion and descends into madness. The film’s cast also includes Sean Young, John Speredakos, Helen Rogers, and another Pod cast member, indie-horror overlord Larry Fessenden, who produced the film with his Glass Eye Pix colleague Jenn Wexler and Sean Fowler for Alexander Groupe. The score was written by composer, and longtime Keating collaborator, Giona Ostinelli.
