I love prosthetic effects, stop-motion animation and gore, but most of all I love a good story! I adore B-movies and exploitation films in many of their guises and also have a soft spot for creature features. I review a wide range of media including movies, TV series, books and videogames. I'm a massive fan of author Hunter S. Thompson and I enjoy various genre of videogames with Kingdom Hearts and Harvest Moon two of my all time favs. Currently playing: Kingdom Come: Deliverance

  1. Quantum Leap. Brilliant premise, great stories and hugely likeable characters. I always felt it would work on the big screen, and there certainly were some discussions about it.

  2. I’d love to see a movie of Misfits, but with some of the original characters again, not just the ones from the later series. It would be interesting to see how the characters of Nathan and Rudy got on!

  3. Its got to be Ripper Street. The three male leads are all intrigingly different with their own unique characteristics. The Victorian London setting is perfect and all that would be needed is an evil viaain type character

  4. Ray Donovan – The characters are so believable, gritty and scary, females as strong as males. Always can’t believe when it finishes that I have been watching for an hour – a very good sign of brilliant tv for me.

  5. In the Flesh – It’s such a brilliant idea and I would love to see it in movie glory. I think 90 minutes would be great for delving deeper into the secrets of the disease

  6. Taggart – The Movie. Let’s see how the body count mounts on the big screen. Or Rebus- The Movie, let’s see how many plot twists Ian Rankin can put in.

  7. which UK television programme you’d love to see spawn a movie and why . . . . . . Coronation Street – would be a challenge to recreate the some of the great storylines and they are great actors

  8. I reckon the UK’s version of ‘Being Human’ would make a great movie crossover but I’d bring back the original cast including Aidan Turner as Mitchell. It may have been off the air a couple of years now but it has a cult following just like ‘Spooks’ so would still be a huge success?

  9. The Avengers – yes I know it’s been done already but I would also like to erase that mess from memory (and all of existence if possible).

  10. Game of thrones – a prequel to the series would be great – could easily get a couple of hours of storyline in there 🙂

  11. The Duchess of Duke Street – an updated version in a movie form would give the latest historical releases a run for their money I think! Especially as the world loves GBBO and the like too – a win win I think!

  12. Misfits because although it was indeed silly – sillier, even, than it sounds – it was also brilliant, sharp, funny, dark and, in places, quite chilling.

  13. I would love to see Fawlty Towers – Basil’s Revenge. Where Basil kills Sybil and then spends the rest of the movie in hilarious situations trying to explain her disappearence. Although a movie version of Bottom would have been a must see film.

  14. The Fades – The basic story-line of his series with the battle of Paul and the Angelics with the Fades could be used to make a great film, and slightly make up for the decision of the BBC not to commission a new series

  15. I was mad on Blakes 7 as a teenager and would love to find out what has happened to the charactors with a movie about them.

  16. I would like to see Fawlty Towers remade, you could have Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand running a hotel in Torquay with Andrew Sachs as the hotel manager making their life hell.

  17. Life n mars. As it was a great show with a great concept and soundtrack. And gene hunt would make a great character on the big sceen

  18. I would like to see a movie version of Life of Mars. A great premise for a film as it has a bit of an SF element, mystery because you don’t know if he is dead, really gone back in time, in a coma etc. It also allows us to enjoy a 70’s style cop show such The Sweeney.

The interplay between what was acceptable in the 70’s and how difficult it is for a modern cop to accept that sort of behaviour makes for great enetrtainment and a chance to explore what the correct balance should be between protectcting suspects and getting the criminals locked up.

  19. I would love to see The Blacklist turned into a film, think Raymond Reddington is a brilliant character and think there is so much you can still do with this character!

  20. Alias. I don’t think that many people saw it over here cos it was on at strange times & changed stations more than once but it was a great series. Bradley Cooper before he was famous too!
