To celebrate the release of Spooks: The Greater Good in the UK, we’ve two copies on DVD to give away to our readers!

When charismatic terrorist Adem Qasim (Elyes Gabel) escapes from MI5 custody during a high profile handover, legendary operative Harry Pearce (Peter Firth), Head of Counter-terrorism, is blamed. Disgraced and forced to resign, Harry disappears without a trace.

With MI5 on its knees in the wake of the Qasim debacle and facing controversial reform, former agent Will Holloway (Kit Harington) is brought back from Moscow to discover the truth about Harry’s disappearance and in doing so, uncovers a shocking revelation; Harry is still alive, has gone rogue and desperately needs Will’s help. Will must decide whether to turn Harry in – or risk everything by trusting the damaged, dangerous master spy who betrayed him once before…

BatWhilst I love prosthetic effects, stop-motion animation and gore, nothing can beat a good story! I adore B-movies and exploitation films in many of their guises and also have a soft spot for creature features. I review a wide range of media including movies, TV series, books and videogames. I'm a massive fan of author Hunter S. Thompson and I enjoy various genre of videogames with Kingdom Hearts and Harvest Moon two of my all time favs. I don't do 3D movies so put the red and green spex away!

  1. I’d like to see a movie adaption of the 90’s show This life, cult classic that was for sure

  2. Ray Donovan, it is immense. Every character is just brilliant and the drama exposes the underbelly of fame and fortune

  9. Ripper Street we can always do with another film about Jack!

  12. I would like to see ‘Only Fools and horses’ Film.

  13. Agents of shield coz it’s more fun than the marvel movies

  14. Arrested Development 😀

  15. Ripper Street – Would be great on the big screen as I love anything Victorian and murder mayhem

  16. I’d love to see a movie of Misfits, but with some of the original characters again, not just the ones from the later series. It would be interesting to see how the characters of Nathan and Rudy got on!

  17. Its got to be Ripper Street. The three male leads are all intrigingly different with their own unique characteristics. The Victorian London setting is perfect and all that would be needed is an evil viaain type character

  18. Dr Who, he has been around for so long I am sure all fans would love it

  19. Ray Donovan – The characters are so believable, gritty and scary, females as strong as males. Always can’t believe when it finishes that I have been watching for an hour – a very good sign of brilliant tv for me.

  20. The Fall Guy because of all the stunts and action

  21. Spaced – it was hilarious and original. Bring it back!

  22. How about a film combining several of the Gerry Anderson programs, such as a Stingray and Thunderbirds tie up?

  23. Life on Mars, getting away with everything bad, again and again

  24. Vampire diaries Because i’d love to watch it get more darker & gruesome than it already is,

  25. In the Flesh – It’s such a brilliant idea and I would love to see it in movie glory. I think 90 minutes would be great for delving deeper into the secrets of the disease

  26. I would love a film of Green Wing- it would be brilliant to revisit the characters and the off the wall humour!

  27. Blake’s 7 would have been a great film. I love British sc-fi.

  28. Taggart – The Movie. Let’s see how the body count mounts on the big screen. Or Rebus- The Movie, let’s see how many plot twists Ian Rankin can put in.

  29. true blood

  30. I’d love to see a feature length version of How Not To Live Your Life. I thought it was hilarious.

  31. I would camp out at the cinema if Broadchurch made a movie

  34. Broadchurch without a doubt

  35. Bill & Ben the flowerpot men – The very best of TV would make a unique film.

  36. I would love prison break to be a movie

  37. Hollyoaks. It would be awful but at least it would then be obvious to everyone how awful it is.

  38. Surely its time for a Dr Who movie – lots of scope

  39. As the question was about UK TV programs, I’d go with a film version of the BBC show Tripods.
Set in the aftermath of the War of the Worlds, truly scary for the time.

  45. Midsomer Murders could make a great comedy horror film – so many deaths, so little time.

  46. Hawaii five 0 great scenery and characters

  47. My Family would make a good movie.

  48. I reckon the UK’s version of ‘Being Human’ would make a great movie crossover but I’d bring back the original cast including Aidan Turner as Mitchell. It may have been off the air a couple of years now but it has a cult following just like ‘Spooks’ so would still be a huge success?

  49. A good scary version of the tomorrow people – but I might need to take a cushion to the cinema

  50. Spaced. I’d love to see those characters back together again on the big screen.

  51. The Professionals!

  52. Space 1999 – though the title would have t be updated!

  66. Game of thrones – a prequel to the series would be great – could easily get a couple of hours of storyline in there 🙂

  67. The Duchess of Duke Street – an updated version in a movie form would give the latest historical releases a run for their money I think! Especially as the world loves GBBO and the like too – a win win I think!

  68. The Walking Dead, I love it

  69. SPIRAL

it is the best crime series for years

But must be in French-not a UK or US remake

  70. Doc Martin would make a great comedy movie.

  71. Cracker, I just think there would be a great film in it. Would have to keep Robbie Coltrane though.

  72. Riased by wolves it would be a scream a minute i loved the first series and could imagine a film being just as good

  73. The IT Crowd, love that show

  74. Derek

  75. Babylon 5

  80. Skins, it was great at the time and should be brought back!

  81. I would love to see Fawlty Towers – Basil’s Revenge. Where Basil kills Sybil and then spends the rest of the movie in hilarious situations trying to explain her disappearence. Although a movie version of Bottom would have been a must see film.

  82. doctor whomovie would be ace

  83. Luther. Would be a great thriller and full of suspense

  84. The Fades – The basic story-line of his series with the battle of Paul and the Angelics with the Fades could be used to make a great film, and slightly make up for the decision of the BBC not to commission a new series

  85. Whitechapel – it never reached a satisfactory conclusion before it was shut down

  105. Life n mars. As it was a great show with a great concept and soundtrack. And gene hunt would make a great character on the big sceen

  106. A new dr who film would be good

  107. I would like to see a movie version of Life of Mars. A great premise for a film as it has a bit of an SF element, mystery because you don’t know if he is dead, really gone back in time, in a coma etc. It also allows us to enjoy a 70’s style cop show such The Sweeney.

The interplay between what was acceptable in the 70’s and how difficult it is for a modern cop to accept that sort of behaviour makes for great enetrtainment and a chance to explore what the correct balance should be between protectcting suspects and getting the criminals locked up.

  108. Time Tunnel

  127. Peaky Blinders, because one hour per week is never enough for me! 🙂

  128. Alias. I don’t think that many people saw it over here cos it was on at strange times & changed stations more than once but it was a great series. Bradley Cooper before he was famous too!
