A short while ago the teaser trailer for Pride and Prejudice and Zombies was released, now we have the proper full length version to show you, and you are going to love it!

The horror mashup delivers on its promise, and below you can feast your eyes on some serious zombie slaying action, some damn fine hot girls in corsets and stockings, some funny dialogue, plenty of gore and violence and some romance thrown in for good measure.

The graphic novel is a spin on the Pride and Prejudice story, but the director wants to play things as straight as possible with the movie version. He told EW “The idea was that it was Pride and Prejudice set in this alternate world and then for everyone to play it straight,” says Steers. “The movie’s big wink is that there is no big wink.”

The movie is a horror-comedy spin on Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. The heroine, Liz Bennett (Lily James), is pressured by her family to marry into a wealthy upper-class home but chafes at the stiff social mores of Victorian England. Instead, she feels that she should help defend the countryside against the onslaught of a horrifying zombie plague.

The graphic novel was written by Seth Grahame-Smith.

Burr Steers (Igby Goes Down, Charlie St Cloud) is directing from a screenplay by David O. Russell and Steers. The cast also includes Lena Headey, Charles Dance, Matt Smith, Douglas Booth, Jack Huston and Sam Riley. Elizabeth (Lily James), Lydia (Ellie Bamber), Mary (Millie Brady), Jane (Bella Heathcote), and Kitty Bennet (Suki Waterhouse) play the Bennett Sisters.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies arrives in UK cinemas on 12th February 2016.

PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES is a fresh twist on Jane Austen’s widely celebrated novel. A mysterious plague has fallen upon 19th century England, the land is overrun with the undead and feisty heroine Elizabeth Bennet is a master of martial arts and weaponry. Casting aside personal and social prejudices, Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy must unite on the blood-soaked battlefield to rid the country of the zombie menace and discover their true love for one another..

Matt WavishA keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
