About Bat 7024 Articles
I love prosthetic effects, stop-motion animation and gore, but most of all I love a good story! I adore B-movies and exploitation films in many of their guises and also have a soft spot for creature features. I review a wide range of media including movies, TV series, books and videogames. I'm a massive fan of author Hunter S. Thompson and I enjoy various genre of videogames with Kingdom Hearts and Harvest Moon two of my all time favs. Currently playing: Kingdom Come: Deliverance

  1. Close run thing between Society and Tetsuo: Iron Man. Backsides with faces or a powerdrill penis? It’s a stalemate! Mind you, the bit where she’s shaving her legs in Cabin Fever stayed with me for a long time too.

  2. Now it would be considered quite mild but when I saw The Fly (jeff Goldblum) at the cinema way back when I remember the arm-wrestling scene whereby Goldblum’s character snapped the “redneck’s” forearm as being very gruesome and realistically scary.

  3. “Prometheus” (2011) – Naomi Rapace’s character uses a self-surgery machine to perform an emergency C-section to remove her alien fetus before it kills her from the inside.

  4. For body horror it would definitely be The Fly, with the gradual transformation of Seth into Brudlefly, but in particular the bathroom scene with the contents of the cabinet! Uggghhhhh!

  5. The scene in Hostel II when the young girl was hung upside down over a bathtub and that woman started slashing at her with a scythe….gruesome!!

  6. The Human Centipede, i have only seen the first in the series, it was enough to put me off watching any more of them, but having your mouth sewn to the person in fronts anus and having to eat their waste products while the next one down had to eat yours and so on it is just stomach turning and i felt physically sick, i am convinced that the writer needs serious mental health help to ahve even come up with such a “story” let alone make it into a movie. just GROSS!!!!

  7. Doesn’t sound very gory. But that bit in The Howling where he says “I want to give you a piece of my mind” and decides to do just that. Doesn’t sound gory on paper (screen) but you have to watch that bit to see what I mean.

  8. No One Lives where the guy wears the dead guys body as a suit then comes out of it into the house, most unique thing I’ve seen in ages

  9. Alien bursting out of John Hurt’s chest was scary as anything however pretty much all of the human centipede made me want to vom – such a sick and wrong film – after watching it I persuaded my big sister and friends to see it too – I didnt want to be the only one with those images stuck in my head!!!!

  10. Nightmare on Elm street (when Freddie pulled the veins from the arms of the kid in the childrens home, to use as a puppet) Horrid!!
