Bat

BatI love prosthetic effects, stop-motion animation and gore, but most of all I love a good story! I adore B-movies and exploitation films in many of their guises and also have a soft spot for creature features. I review a wide range of media including movies, TV series, books and videogames. I'm a massive fan of author Hunter S. Thompson and I enjoy various genre of videogames with Kingdom Hearts and Harvest Moon two of my all time favs. Currently playing: Silent Hill

  36. Dog Soldiers

  37. An American Werewolf in London

  38. Dog Soldiers – Best werewolf film.

  39. ‘The Company of Wolves’ as they mostly used real animals so for me the effect was intensified as I have a bit of a fear of dogs as it is and at the time of it’s release our next door neighbour owned a particularly intimidating Belgium Shephard dog 😉

  40. An American Werewolf in London – at the time the fx were unmatched.

  41. dog soldiers for sure

  46. it’s a boring answer but it has to be “an american werewolf in london”. one of the only films to ever scare me, although i did watch it very young. the dream sequences were what got me.

  51. American Werewolf in London – Great film and great werewolf

  52. Can’t really decide between “Dog Soldiers” or “An American Werewolf in London.” The scares were definitely bigger in An American Werewolf (at the time of release) but the gore factor of Dog Soldiers was superior thanks to improved make up and filming techniques. If pushed, then, I’d go with Dog Soldiers solely on the werewolf make up.

  53. Wolfman with Del Toro-intelligent but scary

  54. An American Werewolf in London

  55. An American Werewolf in London, a bit close to home though!

  68. The first Howling movie

  69. Absolutely loved Dog Soldiers. They were like humans but as wolves (obviously) but had the intelligence (or otherwise) of humans. Was so glad the “proper” dog survived though. 😀

  72. Dog Soldiers for sure!

  73. An American Werewolf in London

  76. has to be dog soldiers

  77. What we do in the shadows. Hilarious movie – We’re Werewolves not Swearwolves. Or Tim Allen in The Shaggy Dog – very scary movie!

  96. An American Werewolf in London

  97. dog soldiers – although they didnt have the best special effects the over all realism of the film and the setting meant it felt that they were real and that was more scary than some films with better effects that are in more surreal surroundings
