Yes there is a sequel to Skyline coming, and there is not a chance in hell it can be as stupid as the first film. Why? Because the first film was crap, and looking at the cast for the sequel, it simply HAS to be an improvement, doesn’t it?

Beyond Skyline was first announced well over a year ago, and it has been confirmed that The Brothers Strause will not return to direct. Instead, Skyline producer and co-writer Liam O’Donnell will make his directorial debut with the sequel, which is said to take place at the same time as the original film.

Frank Grillo (The Purge: Anarchy) stars in the film as a tough-as-nails detective who embarks on a relentless pursuit to free his son from a nightmarish alien warship. The Raid stars Iko Uwais and Yayan Ruhian also star in the sequel.

The full cast has been revealed as Frank Grillo, Bojana Novakovic (Drag Me to Hell, Devil), Jonny Weston (Under the Bed, Project Almanac), Iko Uwais, Callan Mulvey, Antonio Fargas, Pamelyn Chee, Yayan Ruhian, Jacob Vargas, Valentine Payen, Betty Gabriel, Jack Chausse, and Kevin O’Donnell.

The first images have been released ahead of the American Film Market, and you can view them above and below.

Matt Wavish

Matt WavishA keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
