Han-Solo

Its been a few days now since Star Wars: The Force Awakens was released and with the film breaking Box Office records and at this particular moment on its way of becoming quite possibly “the most successful film of all time”, plot details are beginning to emerge around all news outlets and the stars themselves are discussing major spoilers.  Be warned out there if you have not seen the film yet, but this news article is about the ending of Return Of Jedi…..so you should be safe!

Harrison Ford in particular is keen to talk about his character Han Solo and how much he fought for the much loved character to die in Return Of The Jedi.

“It was a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away… I thought the best utility of the character would be for him to sacrifice himself to a high ideal and give a little bottom, a little gravitas to the enterprise, not that there wasn’t some already but I just wanted in on some part of it. That was at the third occasion of filming the original three”

Its amazing to hear Harrison Ford say that, especially how much that would have changed the dynamic of the last film in the original trilogy and considering his pivotal role in the new film The Force Awakens.

Killing Solo off in Episode 6 would have ruined the “happy ending” of Jedi and would have missed the opportunity of Ford’s Solo closing the gap between new fans and old in the latest film.

Thankfully history played out exactly how it should have!

Ross HughesSince my mother sat me down at the age of five years of age and watched a little called Halloween, I have been hooked on horror. There is no other genre that gets me excited and takes me to the edge of entertainment. I watch everything from old, new, to cheap and blockbusters, but I promise all my readers that I will always give an honest opinion, and I hope whoever reads this review section, will find a film that they too can love as much as I do! Have fun reading, and please DO HAVE NIGHTMARES!!!!!!
