Bat

BatI love prosthetic effects, stop-motion animation and gore, but most of all I love a good story! I adore B-movies and exploitation films in many of their guises and also have a soft spot for creature features. I review a wide range of media including movies, TV series, books and videogames. I'm a massive fan of author Hunter S. Thompson and I enjoy various genre of videogames with Kingdom Hearts and Harvest Moon two of my all time favs. Currently playing: Silent Hill

  1. The still very Scary Exorcist 3 , still even a little spookier than the Original film.

  2. I preferred Saw 2 to the first one 🙂

  3. forgot to put why sorry…basically the way the victims died in the second one was way better to watch than the first film

  4. Scream 2 – It was a similar premise as the first film, but took it to another level. More kills, more blood and a lot more suspense. The crashed police car scene is really intense.
The only issue I have is the killing of Randy, but I guess killing the popular characters are all part of being a sequel.

  5. Evil Dead 2 – It was everything that the first film was & more! Great film.

  6. Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 is, in my opinion, more shocking and disturbing than the first one. Also very underrated. Amazing film though.

  7. Saw 🙂

    It’s gory & extreme.

  8. I would choose Poltergeist 2, i enjoyed iy as much as the first.

  9. Hellbound: Hellraiser II because of its accelerated gore and a higher body-count compared to the first.

  10. Slaughter high,It was the first horror film i ever saw.It was really bad but scary at the time.

  11. Saw 2, really a good movie

  12. would have to be Saw 2

  13. Aliens – the best film of the series, and a far more satisfying film than 1979’s Alien

  14. Think it has to be the brilliant alien trilogy

  15. I loved Jeepers Creepers 2 because it actually was better than the original (which is unusual!) I’m a real fan of tongue-in-cheek horrors 🙂

  16. Agree -Aliens Trilogy kept me on the edge of my seat ????

  17. Hostel Part 2, a bit of a table turner and equally gory.

  18. halloween 3 for daring to break from the mold and do something different!

  19. I preferred Saw 2 over the original – much better plot

  20. Friday the 13th Part 2: the first in the series which introduces us to Jason as the killer. Probably the best of all the Friday films.

  21. Not really a scary movie but i love Jeepers Creepers 2 – i think its brilliant

  22. Saw II – better than the original

  23. The Grudge because they kept the story going so you had to keep watching to find out how it all began

  24. Aliens great sequel

  25. I don’t like sequels generally. Maybe mine would be Evil Dead II

  26. Aliens – completely different and incredible to watch

  27. Dawn of the Dead – More gory, more zombies, great setting – having the gang holed up in a shopping mall…one of the all-time great horror movies.

  28. I don’t like blood and guts, its my son who watches them I don’t know which is is favourite

  29. The Omen II – Great follow up to the original

  30. OMEN 2 – totally agree with above comment. Damien is so evil, yet awesome!

  31. I preferred Saw 2

  32. Saw II was even better than the first in my opinion.

  33. Paranormal Activity 2. Loved it and it made us jump as much as the first film

  34. Jeepers Creepers 2 – It flowed seemlessly from the premise of the first film.

  35. Maybe not a conventional horror movie but I loved gremlins 2!

  36. It would have to be Scream 2

  37. The Exorcist

  38. its got to be a classic B movie, The Evil Dead

  39. Dawn of the Dead was ace!!

  40. I really enjoyed Alien vs. Predator, so much better than the originals! 🙂

  41. The Omen was a great film and the sequel Omen II was equally tense

  42. Evil Dead 2 as good as the first

  43. The Omen II was actually way superior to the first so qualifies as my favourite!

  44. The Bride of Chucky, it mixed comedy with the gore and was easier to get into

  45. Omen II – it was a great follow up to the original

  46. Insidious 2

  47. Prom Night 2 – it doesn’t take itself too seriously!

  48. I think Evil Dead 2 was better than the original because it was even more OTT.

  49. Halloween 2 from the 70s basically just because I loved the developing storyline and how it immediately carried on from the first one.

  50. Insidious 3 – I can’t get over the waving man!

  51. Dawn of the Dead. Much more inventive.

  52. Sequels in my opinion never have the same impact as the first film. For pure entertainment and the fact it has Milla Jovovich in it, it has to be the Resident Evil franchise.

  53. nightmare on elm street 3 (part 2 was pants), freddy at his brutal best,

  54. Saw 2— better made than the first

  55. Poltergeist 2 gave me more shivers down my spine than the first one

  56. Grave Encounters 2 – Much more atmospheric than the first IMHO

  57. Insidious 2

  58. It’s really brutal and gory.

  59. Final Destination 2 it didn’t take itself as seriously as the first film. (I was going to say Hellraiser 2 as it seemed to forget most of the original premise and become really inventively gory – however when I watch this it is always with my hands over my eyes so I would not use the word ‘enjoy’ to describe this viewing experience!)

  60. Amytiville Horror 2: The Possession. With the doors shaking and the secret tunnel, it makes you peer round the door when you need to leave the room!

  61. The Omen II just as spooky and creepy I love it

  62. Tremors 2.
I saw this at a special screening on a cinema screen despite it being a straight to video release. One of the most underrated films ever!

  63. Alien films definately

  64. Childs Play – As if one chucky film wasn’t enough they carried on

  65. Insidious 2, I liked the way it followed on from the first

  66. Evil Dead 2. It’s one of my all-time favourite films. No one does comedy horror like Sam Raimi.

  67. Saw, very clever!

  68. Saw II is far better than the first one

  69. Psycho 2. I know it’s not a better film than the original but it was the first of the Psychos I saw and it was the one which hooked me in.

  70. Aliens – even better than the original

  71. evil dead 2. they really ramped it up after the first one.

  72. Evil Dead 2; had a little bit of everything

  75. saw 2 🙂

  76. dont think i could pick a fav,i just love horror films

  79. Friday the 13th Part 2

  80. Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 – great story, funny and doesn’t take itself too seriously

  81. Would probably have to say saw 2 love the gore

  82. Aliens- whats better than just one really scary alien? answer- a whole bunch of them and eggs galore!!!

  83. The original Halloween 2. I love the continuation of the story from Halloween, the continued focus on Jamie Lee Curtis’ character.

  84. insidious 2

  85. Scream 2…just as scary as the first one!

  86. Aliens 🙂

  87. Omen 2

  88. Omen 2 and 3. I like the way they continued the story and myth of damien

  89. Nightmare on Elm Street 2. Can’t beat a bit of Freddy to cut through your dreams

  90. Saw 2 didnt think I could shock more than the first- but better by far

  91. Has to be Aliens – seen that more than Alien and prefer it for some reason. 🙂 Loved Alien but thought that the second one went a bit further. OK, it was “similar” and you had a rough idea what might happen but it’s a great film and you don’t necessarily have to watch Alien to enjoy Aliens. 🙂

  92. It’s got to be Saw 2 – that was such a brilliantly timed movie!

  93. I like The Conjuring because it was based on a true event

  94. Omen 2

  95. Aliens, it was as good as Alien, sequels usually disappoint!

  96. wrong turn 7 was the best one good way to end the series 🙂

  97. Halloween 2 .
John Carpenter was rumored as not wanting to make it but the with the search for the missing body of Michael Myers (who’d been shot six times!) and the great acting of Jamie Lee Curtis with plenty of gore and
suspenseful pacing this film was every bit as good as the original

  98. Scream 2 – very good concept for a sequel and very clever to watch.

  99. The Omen 11 was even creepier than the first one.

  100. Every Saw film that followed just got darker and darker as they added more plot and twists…..by the last one I was more scared than ever lol

  101. I loved Final Destination 2. I thought it was scarier than the original, the Highway pile up was moe realistic (and based on a real life event) and the characters were likeable, i was rooting for them all the way! Brilliant sequel IMO

  102. I think I’d opt for one of the Saw or Hostel movies as I love a wee bit of mind buggery

  103. My favourite has to be The Devils Rejects im a huge fan of Captain Spaulding great movies made by one of my favourite Rock stars Rob Zombie

  104. Aliens thrilled me as much as the first film

  105. Aliens was the sexiest of the follow ups, with hunks with guns, loved it x

  106. Evil Dead 2 and 3! Just pure horror fun

  107. evil dead 2

  108. Nightmare on elm street

  109. Meh tough choice, im a Horror film nut! I love Saw 2, Evil Dead, all the Nightmare on Elm Streets, Alien 2, Omen 2, Hellraiser 2 was awesome too!

  110. Gremlins 2. Great film

  111. saw 2

  112. Nightmare On Elm Street !! Freddie just got scarier !!

  113. poltergeist 2

  114. It’s hard trying to find a film that’s better than the original but the evil dead sequel was really good

  115. The Collection because it was just as good (if not better!) than the film before it (The Collector)

  116. Poltergeist 2 – but any of the poltergeist films scare the bejesus outta me!

  117. Hellraiser 2 – got bigger and better in just about all ways possible

  118. Evil Dead 2 I think.

  119. Saw 2 because it was very scary!

  120. Final Destination 3

  121. Scream 2. Just as good as the original, if not better.

  122. Aliens better, faster than alien

  123. I preferred Insidious 2 to the first one! I just found it not as boring! 🙂

  124. A Nightmare on elm street 2, Great story

  125. Omen 2 is the best one I can think of though I generally prefer something more head-bending like the Shining did the follow-up to that ever get made?

  126. Aliens Trilogy! Scary stuff!

  127. Saw 2 – loved it

  128. Dawn Of The Dead. Such an iconic sequel to Night Of The Living Dead trying to survive in a Mall. Loved it.

  129. Evil Dead – the movies got weirder and funnier – total cult classics!

  130. Insidious 2, creepier than the first one! I really enjoyed it

  131. I liked the surge anarchy, 2nd film in series. Thought is was good how it carried on a year after original.

  132. I would have to choose Aliens, better then the first one Alien!

  133. have to be insidious 2 have to be the scariest yet great film

  134. Aliens – My favourite movie as a kid

  137. I would have to say Saw 2

  138. Poltergeist 2, love those movies 🙂

  139. For me it has to be Amityville Horror 2 … Way better than the first in special effects and storyline. Loved the sequences where the demon enters the boys body and contorts his skin.

  140. has to be i still know what you did last summer i found it scarier than the 1st 1

  141. scream 2 because i enjoyed it as much as the original

  142. Hellbound: Hellraiser II because an old friend went on to design one of the Pinhead models in his USA FX Studio
