rambo

We have waited for news of Rambo 5, with rumours of plot and direction it was going in.  We even had some development on a Rambo TV Show which caused a stir by announcing its star Sly Stallone was not going to be involved.

Well get ready to hold on to your action hats as Sly has stunned fans by announcing that he will never play John Rambo again……. that’s right, he has officially “retired” his iconic role.

The heart’s willing, but the body says, ‘Stay home!'” Sly explained while talking to Variety.  “It’s like fighters that go back for one last round and get clobbered. Leave it to someone else.”

The last time we saw the character was in 2008 in the fourth film RAMBO, which was released to acclaim from fans and critics, something Sly is proud of.

“As an action film, I was very satisfied that it dealt with the Burmese situation. It was so brutal, which civil war is, I was shocked they even gave me an R-rating. I didn’t want to compromise.”

“I said, ‘This is probably going to be the last decent film of this genre that I’m going to do as a solo act.’ When that was accomplished, I never felt the same willingness to do it again.”.

And that is it……..we wait now for news on the planned TV Show or even the eventual reboot!

Ross HughesSince my mother sat me down at the age of five years of age and watched a little called Halloween, I have been hooked on horror. There is no other genre that gets me excited and takes me to the edge of entertainment. I watch everything from old, new, to cheap and blockbusters, but I promise all my readers that I will always give an honest opinion, and I hope whoever reads this review section, will find a film that they too can love as much as I do! Have fun reading, and please DO HAVE NIGHTMARES!!!!!!
