Disney are licking their lips at the potential of the Star Wars franchise after The Force Awakens blitzed records everywhere and now news is flitering through about the planned standalone films, one of them being the Han Solo film which we all thought was going to be an origin story…….well shock horror, its not.

Veteran ?Star Wars? writer Lawrence Kasdan who is now producing the Han Solo film has revealed where the story is heading.

“It will not be, ‘Here’s where he was born and this is how he was raised,  I think what it will be is what was he like 10 years earlier — maybe a little earlier, you’ll get a glimpse.

“But Kurosawa once said the heroes are the ones that are still changing and the villains are locked and petrified into what they are, and Harrison embodies in Force Awakens someone who is still not settled on who he is”

So we going to get a story of what Han was doing just before he met Luke and co in A New Hope!  But will it work without Harrison Ford who for obvious reasons, will be told to play his younger self again.

Dave Franco, Miles Teller, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Logan Lerman, Ansel Elgort, Ed Westwick and Rami Malek have apparently all auditioned for the lead role in what will be a huge gamble for Disney as Ford is so tied to the role.

The film is due for release on March 25, 2018.

Ross HughesSince my mother sat me down at the age of five years of age and watched a little called Halloween, I have been hooked on horror. There is no other genre that gets me excited and takes me to the edge of entertainment. I watch everything from old, new, to cheap and blockbusters, but I promise all my readers that I will always give an honest opinion, and I hope whoever reads this review section, will find a film that they too can love as much as I do! Have fun reading, and please DO HAVE NIGHTMARES!!!!!!
