Kickstarter Campaign Launches For Shark Grindhouse Horror GREY FEAR

Pre-production is in full swing on Mystery Road’s next feature movie. GREY FEAR is a hardboiled crime pulp horror with an unconventional structure and extensive use of homage, pastiche and graphic violence. It blends the surf world of the 60s with the Grindhouse of the 70s, set in today’s world and wrapped up in a graphic exploitation shark horror movie. This is Grindhouse horror at it’s best as it pays homage to the days of the paperback Pulp horror novels. BIANCA BRADEY of Wyrmwood fame stars as the lead role and heroine of the film,  Jewell North.

Grey Fear follows a close group of pro-surfers searching for an adventure off the beaten track as they fly into a cluster of islands in the south pacific.
Unbeknownst to several members of the group, four of them are deadly killers and thieves. Once on the island they carry out an armed diamond robbery and an all out massacre at The Purple Haze club. Using their vacation as surfers as a cover, they discover a secluded break, and once in the water, a shoal of great white sharks that begin to ravage through the stranded group.
Now they must endure unimaginable horror in an epic battle to survive if they are to even make it out of the water alive, while panic and betrayal begins to spread among the group members.

After the international success of”WRATH” starring Stef Dawson from “The Hunger Games”, Jonathan N. Dixon, whom is rep’ed by WME, and actor / producer William Emmons (Terminus, Never Tear Us Apart-INXS, Wrath) have teamed up to bring this film to the silver screen. In an effort to provide horror fans with what they truly want and with a new flavour, they have decided to launch a crowdfunding campaign through Kickstarter. They’re looking to raise $550,000 AUD to fund their project with a variety of perks on offer for those who wish to contribute to the film.

Principle production begins next June, 2016 with release looking for early 2017.
