So this is some news to greet you on a Thursday Morning and its all to do with the Hellraiser franchise and it seems that we may be having another sequel.

Pinhead has been through the mill over the last few years and after that ridiculous darn awful last sequel, the character and franchise seemed all but dead, especially as Dimension who have already lost the rights to Halloween, were on the verge of losing yet another horror brand.

Not so though, as the guys over the brilliant Bloody Disgusting have broke some news that a new film is all set to shoot and will star a woman who is more associated with Freddy Krueger than the Cenobites.

Heather Langenkamp who played Nancy in Elm Street was speaking in an interview with Scare Tissue and more or less has confirmed that she will appear in the next Hellraiser sequel.

“I actually have an opportunity to play a small part in Hellraiser. I’m so excited about it. I go next week to do the shooting…” she said. “The script is amazing and that I got the part is something that I find incredible.”

“It’s Gary Tunnicliffe, who did all the make-up for all these years. They gave him an opportunity to direct the movie. I think it’s going to be pretty outstanding.”

Hmmm! Early word is that the plot will follow a Police Officer in purist of a serial killer that leads him to the world of the Cenobites.

Bad news though.  and this will rank as a real bad decision by the fans.  Doug Bradley who played Pinhead and was deeply missed in the last horrific film will not be returning.  In a recent Facebook post, he more or less confirms he is not involved.

Anyway, story short: a new movie is happening and I have nothing do with it,” he explains. “I was unable to make a decision about it because I was not allowed to read the script, unlike Revelations where I made a conscious decision not to do the movie based on the motives for making it and the poor quality of the script.

Does this mean yet another rushed movie just so that Dimension can retain the rights?

We have to wait and see!

Ross HughesSince my mother sat me down at the age of five years of age and watched a little called Halloween, I have been hooked on horror. There is no other genre that gets me excited and takes me to the edge of entertainment. I watch everything from old, new, to cheap and blockbusters, but I promise all my readers that I will always give an honest opinion, and I hope whoever reads this review section, will find a film that they too can love as much as I do! Have fun reading, and please DO HAVE NIGHTMARES!!!!!!
